  • Siger plugins support

    Hi guys,

I think it would be great to see a full support for Siger plugins especially Complex fresnel and Thinfilm texmap wich are nice to work with.

yeah that would be great, but I doubt that any third party shaders written for CPU renderers will every be working with Fstorm

I wonder if the reason FStorm is so good because the code isn't "bogged down" with all the features that V-Ray has. I also miss some of these features, like support for Siger shaders, but do hope that adding more and more features doesn't adversely affect performance. I don't know, maybe it's just down to efficient coding, and Karba can keep the speed whilst adding flexibility. (?)

If this affects performance I don't want them anymore lol.
Speed is what I've loved the most using fstorm so please Andrey don't sacrifice it... Well just a little bit haha.

GPU can't support anything directly. Everything must be rewritten from scratch on GPU side.
