  • exclude from render in object properties

this option does not work in fstorm but its badly needed, to exclude walls from renders and stil have the interiors have the same lighting, really a pain work without this option

Agree this needs to be implemented asap - it is a basic function - thanks

maybe bump this up? much needed! now i have some glass in a scene and the client wants no reflections from some objects in the scene which is not normal but no way to really do this without rerendering the entire scene maybe 3 times of just rendering the glass alone in some scene with idk what kind of object with no much reflections, its a pain not being able to do this more efficiently in the current scene

          Hi,

I'm new here and I'm finding Fstorm to be a really nice render engine. So far I'm using Vray. I really like to dive deeper into this render engine but some lack of important features are stopping me from doing so. For example, as the author of this thread mentioned, it's impossible to make object not renderable or exclude it from reflections or refractions. How long could it take until these features are implemented?

the original message i posted seems to have been solved with the new release, include exclude from lights reflections etc are needed now and also matte shadows, i have such a crazy commercial job now where the client only wants matte shadows, these i have to do in vray
